Over 100 activities, a dynamic market, live shows and practical classes and workshops all weekend in San Pedro, Marbella.
For the past 6 years the Arte Sano festivals have been bringing healing arts events to San Pedro Alcantara, and at the end of November (Nov 30 & Dec 1) will be celebrating the seventh edition of this popular event in the ‘Carpa’ municipal in the town’s feria ground.
“Many people are looking for new ways of living these days,” explains Monica Bereuther, one of the organisers. “Arte Sano is a great place for people to come and find out about the latest in natural and
organic products, have a go at a class or activity they have heard about or sit in on one of the many talks.”
The market is central to the busy atmosphere of the festival, bringing together the creative and healing arts under one roof, while the dozens of activities that run throughout the weekend give people plenty
to do. From Yoga to Tai Chi there are classes for all ages, and talks on a wide range of subjects from nutrition to spirituality.
This year the organisers have teamed up with an educational project, ‘La Casa Verde’, to bring an exciting mix of activities just for younger visitors – apart from providing a chill out area for parents to find out more about the Montessori education method and the work of ‘La Casa Verde’, the kids’ area will have lots of practical workshops, games and fun stuff as well as theatre and magic shows.
With the kids happy, parents can enjoy browsing the market for unique gifts, as Christmas is just round the corner. Everyone always enjoys the selection of fine wholesome food from our healthy eating
terrace, which provides a place to stop and chat in between activities. Arte Sano festivals provide a point of reference for anyone interested in natural and ‘green’ living, but they are also a local event bringing together the residents of San Pedro to enjoy something different.
The organisers also support local charities and in 2012 were delighted to hand over 2,000€ to Aspandem. This year Cudeca, the cancer charity that does so much good work in palliative care, and
Fibromyalgia will benefit from the 1€ entry fee. So whether you are looking to expand your horizons, try out some new classes, enjoy tasty food, meet up with friends old and new or support your local
charities, Festival Arte Sano will provide something for everyone on the last weekend in November.
