A week after what would have been Elvis Presley’s birthday the Marbella Palacio de Congresos rocked to the sound of “The King”.
From Graceland to Marbella, legendary guitarist James Burton, affectionally known as “The Master of the Telecaster” formed the TCB Band in 1969 to play with Elvis in The Las Vegas comeback tour.
The TCB Band (Taking Care of Business) backed Presley from 1969 until Presley’s death in 1977.
In what was be their only performance in Spain, the legendary line up of James Burton, Glen D Hardin, Norbert Putnam, Ronnie Tutt and Paul Leim were joined by singer Dennis Jale, to perform the best loved songs from the king of rock and roll.
Presley’s best friends, Sam Thomson of the Memphis Mafia and Jerry Schilling, were on hand to let the audience in on some of Elvis’ most private stories, a week after what would have been his 77th birthday.
