Gunnel’s Winter Fashion at MC Cafe

Gunnel’s Winter Fashion at MC Cafe

The first MC Cafe lunch and fashion show of the winter season was packed out with fans of Gunnel’s Fashion keen to get a sneak preview of the stylish boutique’s new collection. The store has a loyal following of fashionistas who were out in force to support Gunnel, who is a popular figure on the fashion scene in Marbella.

After a glass of cava and a light lunch served by the impeccable MC Café staff, the audience sat back and enjoyed the show. Strutting their stuff to banging tunes pumped out by the in-house DJ, the stunning models walked among the tables showing off the beautifully put together outfits.

A gentle reminder that winter is around the corner, the show focused on wool designs from brands such as Cecilia Prado, a Brazilian knitwear designer who accessorizes her dresses and tops with scarves, legwarmers and matching berets. Her intricate knitwear designs in bold and eye-catching colours easily give Missoni a run for their money.
Long sleeved dresses (our favourite was a soft brown, sequin embellished version by Charlie Joe), styled with Jott puffer jackets and Gunnel’s own clog boots created a classic winter silhouette that we’re sure to see Marbella’s most stylish adopting this season.

Gunnel also took this opportunity to demonstrate the extent and diversity of the store’s trouser collection. Her best-selling Deha cargo pants appeared in numerous ensembles, showing how flexible and easy they are to wear in so many different ways. Skin tight leather trousers also featured heavily in the show giving outfits a sexy, rock chic feel, which became more edgy as the show came to its conclusion and the leather pants were paired with punk-esque, oversize heart and star jumpers from Wildfox (as seen on numerous celebrities including Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus).
When the show finished, the audience made a bee-line for the temporary shop that Gunnel had set up in the entrance to the café and snapped up the most popular designs. Now all we need is for winter to start in Marbella so we can try out our new winter wardrobe, courtesy of Gunnel’s Fashion. Text Daisy-Ellen Omissi
