“Maridaje” is a Spanish word, that means almost this: celebrating the marriage of the best suited food & wine. This is of course, all part of the Mediterranean, and in this case especially Italian way of seeing wine & food – a family enjoyment.
Last Tuesday, Salotto restaurant in Aloha in Nueva Andalucia teamed up with Marbella Wine Warehouse to offer Luks Marbella members the very best “couples” of delicious Italian dishes and a specially selected Italian wine to accompany each of them, so that we can get a real taste of this Italian Maridaje fayre.
Whilst the guests tasted Italian dishes selection, Simon Robertson entertained and educated them about the wine selection that was accompanying each of the courses. The favourite dish was the very slow roasted lamb, whilst the most thumbs-up in wine stakes was the Villa Antinori white vino that was “coupled up” with the antipasti selection offered as a starter.Salotto´s manager Rocio Areales was happy to welcome so many new faces, all of whom promised to return soon!Luks Marbella TV was filming the evening for their next Russian TV program due to air on 9th September on the local M95 channel.
