Spain’s premier health insurer has teamed up with a pacesetting Costa del Sol company to provide personalised services and worldwide cover to expatriates.
Officially opened before Easter, the new Sanitexpat office in Mijas-Costa enables clients to find the right private insurance in their own language: “bespoke” health coverage specially adapted to individual requirements.
An officially dedicated Sanitas office for expatriates, Sanitexpat provides a professional service with fully-qualified health assessors, multi-lingual support desk, and designated websites and social networking sites providing latest news and information.
Speaking at the official opening, attended by representatives of Mijas and Montejaque Town Halls, and local business and social organisations, managing director Diana Norris said, “I’m absolutely delighted that all the hard work and perseverance has paid off and we can now offer the whole expatriate community an official Sanitas office to deal with any issues that might arise related to their health insurance. From simple authorisations to providing policy explanations, Sanitexpat is there to assist all customers in their own native tongue.”
Asked why Sanitexpat had chosen Sanitas, she explained, “Sanitas is the most well- consolidated health insurer in Spain with the largest medical directory, providing unrivalled coverage for all expatriates as well as worldwide cover through existing partnerships with BUPA International and United Health Care.”
Co-owner Tony Norris added that he and the team were thrilled to be opening a dedicated health insurance office for expatriates. “With the introduction of seven new languages over the next 12 months, and in addition to our principal website Sanitexpat.com, we intend to provide a unique and personalised service currently unavailable through existing channels.”
Guaranteeing immediate quotations, a 24-hour multi-lingual help line and affordable health plans (with no “co-payments”), the new Sanitexpat office covers the area from La Linea de Concepción (near Gibraltar) to Estepona, Elviria (east of Marbella) to Fuengirola, and inland to Alhaurín and Coin.
